All riders and guests visiting Rustic Trail Stable must follow the rules below.
- Checks made payable to RTS and may be dropped in the black box at the entrance to stable office/restroom or pay via email invoice.
- Do not enter pastures or paddocks without permission.
- Wear appropriate gear when on the property such as boots (no sandals in or around barn/horses).
- Wear appropriate gear while riding: riding boots, chaps, equestrian helmet, gloves, breeches, jeans. Stable has riding helmets available at all times.
- No dogs allowed on the property.
- Smoking allowed inside your vehicle only.
- Non-riding family members and guests must stay in designated areas and not enter barns or interact with horses/riders.
- Non-riding youth family members/guests must have non-riding adult supervision at all times and must not leave designated family area without direct supervision.
- No running, throwing, screaming or distractive behaviors that may interfere with riders/horses.
- Speed limit on the driveway is 12 mph.
- Restroom is located inside the stable office. Non-riding youth under 8 must have supervision going to restroom.
- Park in parking lot only and not on grass unless there are no spots available.
- Rider may need extra time at the end of lesson to properly care for horse, stable, and supplies.
- Only the Rider may give horses treats under approval of RTS Staff.
- Late Riders will work on skills such as vocabulary, horse/stable care, or observe other riders in lieu of a mounted lesson.
- Recreational Riders may miss one lesson each quarter and receive a credit or a make-up lesson. Sport Riders should make up all lessons.
- Some lessons may be unmounted to ensure Rider receives the best education on horse/stable care and riding theory.
